I Don’t Understand Hindi

when the universe wants you to fuck up

                                                                                                                                         bad

remember

nah,nah man

just try to remember

what my wide eyed goldfish said

before it dropped the light bulb

down the wishing well

before it shared a doobie with the neighbour’s cat

as they watched the elephant

 poop in Buddha’s pebble garden

just after it wrote a suicide note to itself

in jalapeno & tartare sauce

then licked its fins forgetfully

just moments before the end

of the universe

when the goldfish realised beyond a bowl of

                                                                                                                                   doubt

it was going to outlive the last living universe

& the plastic mermaid

at least for 1 second
