Alzheimer’s

It’s a pencils life

With each morning shave

To keep me looking sharp

The length of my days

Is whittled away

Till I become the eraser

  1. I lost a relative to Alzheimer’s years ago. You have summed up his experience in this poem with eloquent brilliance…not that I’m really surprised by that.

I am amazed at what some poems achieve in so few words. This is one of them!
