    • i’m very pleased you like my writing πŸ˜›πŸ˜ŠAkwelle.
i will tell you what i know of my mask allow a lot is heresay.
i found the mask in a garage sale on a little island located in the Hauraki gulf called Waiheke Island in New Zealand roughly 18 years ago.
The former owner told me it was carved from Mangrove wood and originally brought to NZ from Indonesia by a family member who had been there for a holiday.
The mask spoke to me(so to speak) and so i brought the mask and the mask has been a part of me ever since.
The mask is still a natural wood colour as i would never physically alter the masks personality .
The blue is just me adjusting the colour hue saturation of the photo .
I first used the mask for my banishedman blog and then when i started up this blog , naturally I brought my mask along as well as some (well nearly all πŸ˜„)of my writing that I’d published on that blog.
If i have left anything out ,just ask or if you know more about my face’s origin please tell .
      king regards πŸ˜›πŸ˜Š

      • Thank you for responding with such interesting details. My internet search took me to Mas village in Bali, Indonesia. I’ll bet your mask is from there. Also, they mostly use parasite wood which is a local wood not to be confused with the English word “parasite.” Then I visited Hauraki gulf and Waiheke island. A beautiful place to see. I’m sure the mask was from a memorable trip!
You must be a skilled photographer– I just noticed the mask has green ears along side the blue face! Thanks again for sharing. I feel like I’ve opened an early Christmas gift with the much enjoyed new appreciation/ understanding of your neck of the woods.
        Take care,

I love my family more than anything. We all get swinging on vines together and it can get kinda wild and crazy…we sometimes get tangled but that can be cozy…like unintentional cuddle time up in the canopy…i will take the hugs however i get em…even if i gotta wrap my vine around my little monks…(shhhh…dont tell them…i pretend its an accident)…Lol
